Usalama Voice

A survivor-first platform for responding to gender-based violence in Kenya. It keeps a survivor's journey connected, from the first call for help through to recovery, and puts everyone involved in one coordinated place.

This one pushed me. A panic button that still works on a bad connection, evidence that stays private, and a dozen roles that each see only what they should. None of it is glamorous, but it is the part that matters when someone actually needs help.

Cheche Za Nuru Foundation

A website for Cheche Za Nuru, a Kenyan non-profit working on education, healthcare and sports for children and young people. I built the public site and everything behind it.

It runs on a custom admin dashboard, so the team updates their own stories, gallery, impact numbers, team profiles and events without ever touching code or calling me.

Kamusi Yetu

A community-built dictionary for Kenya's languages, anchored on English and Kiswahili. Anyone can add words, suggest edits and argue out the right translation in the threads.

Part software, part archive. It holds 37 languages and a few thousand verified entries so far, and the less documented a language is, the more one person's contribution moves the needle.

Visitors can request a quotation and get it back in real time, so the agency stops playing phone tag over simple enquiries.

A small tool that reads through WhatsApp chats and pulls out the transaction details buried in them.

Point it at a messy conversation and it hands back clean CSV, JSON or Excel. It started as a personal itch and stuck around because it is genuinely useful.
