Florider Insurance Guide
Car insurance in Florida is expensive and confusing, especially for high-risk drivers.
A plain-English guide to Florida car insurance, with interactive tools and a way for readers to ask questions.
- Interactive tools
- Information architecture
- Editorial standards
- Search-oriented content

The problem
The drivers who most need clear advice, such as those who have just had a crash, are often the easiest to sell the wrong policy.
What I built
Plain-language guides sit alongside small tools that answer specific questions. The site also publishes its editorial standards, because advice about money should say where it comes from.
What it does
- An insurer scorecard and a rate estimator.
- A coverage check, and a tool for deciding whether to drop full coverage.
- An SR-22 and FR-44 helper.
- A guide to what to do after a crash.
- Reader questions, answered on the site.
- An admin for authors and editors.
Under the hood
- Next.js and TypeScript, with a custom editor for authors.
Where it stands
It is live, and it helps drivers who would otherwise be guessing.
Why it might matter to you
If you need to explain something complicated to worried people, this is how I would structure it.
